|  Bob Willoughby, who created iconic portraits of his muse, Audrey Hepburn, and dozens of other celebrities as one of the first still photographers assigned to capture life on Hollywood film sets, has died. He was 82.
Willoughby died Friday of cancer at his home in Vence, France, said Claire Willoughby, a daughter-in-law.The rise of Life and Look magazines created a demand for more than routine photo stills from movie sets and led to a career for Willoughby that spanned three decades. It took off in 1954 when Warner Bros. asked him to photograph Judy Garland's final scene on the set of "A Star Is Born." His portrait of the freckle-faced star became his first Life cover. Over the next 20 years, he made now-classic photos on the sets of about 100 films, including the 1960s movies "The Graduate," "My Fair Lady," "Rosemary's Baby" and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" Writing in 1974 in The Times, entertainment critic Charles Champlin called Willoughby one of the finest movie-set photographers and said his work was impressive "as photojournalism becomes salon art." |  Before the days of outrageous hairdos and avant-garde ensembles, Grammy-nominated Lady Gaga — aka Stefani Germanotta — was just an Italian Catholic schoolgirl from New York. “I was a bit insecure in high school,” the 23-year-old star reveals. “I used to get made fun of for being either too provocative or too eccentric, so I started to tone it down. |  Keira Knightley will lead the cast of David Cronenberg's latest film The Talking Cure, reports The Playlist. The Brit actress will star alongside Inglourious Basterds pair Christoph Waltz and Michael Fassbender in the drama, which is based on Christopher Hampton's play. Hampton's story follows Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, the founders of psychoanalysis, and their relationship with patient Sabina Spielrein. The project will be Cronenberg's first since 2007's gangster drama Eastern Promises. | On December 6th, singer Katy Perry (”I Kissed a Girl”) posted a nude picture on her Twitter page of what appears to be a transgender man. She tweeted: “ http://twitpic.com/sdf45 – NSFW! I knew those little white last week of the birth control pills would still have an effect on your body! FU.”  The photo posted on Twitpic (photo blurred by GLAAD):  Perry is referring to the last week of birth control pills that are typically taken as a placebo but largely thought to not have any effect on the body. Making fun of transgender people’s bodies is deeply offensive. Perry’s ridicule dehumanizes this person and ignores the courage and resolve it takes to live within a transphobic society. Some of Perry’s transphobic fans responded immediately with more crude jokes at the expense of the transgender community. On Sunday, the LGBT community began its response, calling Perry out for her exploitation. While it appears the pic was removed this morning, we urge those offended to tweet Katy Perry directly and educate her about how jokes like this contribute to a climate that puts transgender people in harms way. Angelina Jolie doesn't believe fidelity is essential in a relationship. The Hollywood actress – who raises six children with her long-term partner Brad Pitt – believes open romances can work just as well as monogamous relationships, if both partners agree to it. She told Das Neue magazine: "I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.
“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. With "Nurse Jackie" prepping to unleash a dozen new episodes this March, I was more excited than a MD hopped up on stolen pain pills. Not only was "Jackie" one of the year's most intriguing new series, but the pitch-perfect cast truly set it apart from the countless other ER-set shows that permeated the small screen in 2009. That's why I was so bummed to read that Showtime had dropped Haaz Sleiman from the cast.
He played Jackie's gay BFF “Mo-Mo” and was responsible for some of the first season's funniest and most endearing moments. His relationship with Jackie rivaled her tutelage of Zoe as my favorite element of the series.
But this dark cloud might have a silver lining!
EW.com reports that Alan Ball is searching for an actor to play Lafayette's new love interest on season three of "True Blood" and I think Haaz is the perfect choice! Apparently the only requirements are "a sexy Latino actor in his 30s" and while I'm well aware Haaz is Lebanese, the nationality feels like a minor sticking point.
So, HBO, jump on this incredibly talented man right now before another show snags him and you're left singing the coulda, woulda, shouldas!
I hate, hate, hate that Mo-Mo was fired! I just want him on anything...especially Lafayette!

| So I woke up this morning and found myself thinking about my characters and how I write them, and then I thought back on how long it took me, how many pages and pages and pages of writing and playing with characters until they actually started becoming "real" for me and I moved out of my Sue-writing days.
And then I thought about SMeyer's comments on the writing of New Moon.
When she says that Jacob was her first experience with a character "taking over", I am inclined to believe her. He was certainly real to her then because he was real on the page. She hadn't worked with this character much until then, which leads me to believe she does indeed have some latent talent as a character writer.
What pisses me off is that she utterly ignores it. The character, the untapped talent, everything is ignored for the plot's goal.
Jacob Black does a moral 180 and becomes this raging asshole just so Edward and Bella can be together with no real complications. He became real for her and she ignored him. As a writer, as a roleplayer, as a reader, this is just...the most horrible thing a writer can do to her character.
So...yeah. Thoughts? Discuss? Am I full of it? | |

Stepping out for a romantic evening, Kanye West and Amber Rose were spotted exiting a movie theater in Hollywood after watching “Avatar” last night (December 22).
The “Gold Digger” rapper and his lady friend looked blissfully in love as they strolled past the paparazzi and headed to their car, holding hands and smiling.
And according to a report, Kanye and Amber are planning to take their relationship to the next level sometime in 2010.
One source told press that West is planning to propose in the Caribbean during a romantic vacation. “He has really bonded with her since losing his mother and needs another strong woman in his life. He’s very serious about her.”
